I thought things were bad and weird before—hold on—it’s getting worse.

Adam and I are both going through identity crises of epic proportions as we Transition from who we were, and discover who we were meant to be. More Fae are dying, and I feel as if time is running out for us to find all of those responsible and put an end to the killings.

The people I thought I could trust have betrayed me and the one person I should absolutely not trust; is taking me deeper and deeper into his world.

Ryder’s secrets are dangerous and devastating.

With each touch and word, he pulls my heart closer to himself and at the same time he is trying to keep me at arm’s length. The dance he and I have begun, is getting more complicated as our worlds are being shaken from all sides, and the visions of the future are frightening, and nothing like I had ever pictured for myself or those I care for.

This time, destiny is taunting me.

I had always thought that I controlled my destiny. Now, my rights are being taken from me by powerful people and leaving me with alternatives that range between bad and awful.

•  Started where it left off from Book 1. After she was seen at Ryder's place, she ran. Hitchhiked and went to the guild. Where she received a not so welcome response. She called for Alden and when he came he just said to go home and they don't concern about her anymore since she's Fae. She do know that something is up and Alden would not say those and mean it. So she went home. Then Ryder came to her house, unable to come inside.
• Ryder keeps telling her that it's none of her business for the Warlocks to be there in his mansion. To leave it be. And all that sex talk again. After that he left. Since Syn was adamant in knowing what is really up with the warlocks.
• Syn got a call from Alden, told her he was the one who gave the warlocks to Ryder.  So I was thinking it might be the warlocks who are in charge of the attack at the club. And also she got hired by Alden for a tactical job. Where she needs to stalk basically once the vampire is found. Since she has no magic yet, she was to call for Alden for the strike team. 
• She got a dog. 
• Her dog is actually a Shifter. Go figure. And the house doesn't like Shifters.
• Syn went to Nightshade (Vlad's Bar), met Adrian who told her about the brand Ryder marked her. Ryder and his men arrived. 
• Syn is furious at Ryder about the mark. And she finally got her magic back but about to explode. Especially with Adam in Transition. No Familiar for her. But Vlad and the others says Adrian might help as he is also connected to Syn. 
• Adrian helped. But the thing is Syn suddenly kissed him. And then Adrian and Ryder are both gone. Lol. Figures. She's nearing Transition, hence the kiss.
• Ryder said he's not the Horde King. After Syn accused him of being that.
• After thinking about Ryder so hard, she accidentally sifted. While he's having a shower. At his damn feet.
• I fucking knew it! Those warlocks are the one behind Larissa's death! Someone willingly gave Syn up from the Guild. 
• Fae are dying. Someone tainted their blood with iron. Syn's magic is back again but it's dark magic. She pulled the tainted blood from the victims. She sucked it into herself. And expelled it out. She cleaned their blood from iron.
• She's now in Transition. LMAO. Everyone wants a piece of her. And Ristan, that darn demon, is enjoying the shit show. He said he should've made popcorn lol.
• Ryder took Syn to start the Transition. Do I need to reiterate what happened during Transition? No right? We all know they had sex. The only remarkable thing happened was that knowing that Ryder has someone else inside his body. Beast as he called it. And we already guessed that from the first book anyway. It's just a confirmation of that fact. He even let the Beast fucked her. There. Happy? lol. And she's definitely a Blood Fae. Half maybe. But definitely Royal. Adam and her.
• They are arguing again about owning Syn and wanting her like a normal male. Ryder keep saying that Syn keeps forgetting that he's Fae. But you know what? HE keeps forgetting that she was raised as a HUMAN. He didn't think about that? -_- it's more on him and him and him. I'm almost sick of it. But at the same time I can't help but want to read to see what happen next. 
• WHAT THE FUCK? ADAM IS THE DARK HEIR?! He also has a family. His father is alive. and he's fucking craving Syn. Ugh. Way to go, Hutchins. WHAT THE FUCK?! They are brothers?! RYDER AND ADAM? WTH?
• RYDER HAD ADRIAN KILLED! WHAT. THE. FUCK?! 
• So she refused to feed because of what Ryder did to Adrian. It results to her tapping to the leyline. Where it brings unnecessary trouble. They had to relocate inside Fae instead to have the men heal. 
• Ryder and Syn talked feelings About the thing with Adrian. And basically admitting he stalked her and manipulated her to 'get in her pants'. Her words not mine. They feed from each other.
• Ristan, Dristan and Vlad all talked to her the next day. And asking all these funny questions lol. 
• Ristan can go and be a psychologist. LMAO. He talks about feelings like no other.
• Adam helped her get home without Ryder. Been days since they saw each other. So she's now feeling hungry.
• Alden came to her house to explain things about the Guild and some of his theories re the guild, Marie, Adrian, Ryder and all that shit.
• The Guild is the enemy right now.
• The man who killed her parents found her. And she's about to know why he killed them when Ryder and his merry friends arrived. Ugh.
• Syn's been throwing up.
• Is she fucking pregnant?? I mean they did have a go and no mention of withdrawal method. Lol.
• okay she had birth control from the guild. So why is she throwing up? Eliran to the rescue. Need answers asap.
• Ristan and Ryder was talking about erasing Syn's memories of him. And then Syn heard two of the men talked about it. Ristan knew Syn was listening though. So more psychological thinking scene.
• Someone blew up her house. Why is it always happening? Someone wants to blew Syn up
• Ryder and Syn talk some more feelings. Lol. Plus some Fae and Guild history. Guild's are the Druids. Changelings. No one wanted them so they became Druids. Then became Guild. 
• Ryder and Ristan thinks that Syn is the missing Light Heir. But the Light King wants her dead. Cause she's a product of an affair with the Blood Fae. Which makes her Light and Blood Fae.
• Syn gave Ryder a week to find the guy who wants her dead or the guy who killed her parents.
• They need Syn to recover the relic for them so they are now discussing the plan. The relics will be used to save the Faery world from dying. Ristan had some visions about that and thus this is why Ryder is here in the mortal world. This is his true objective. To gather the relics and save Faery.
• Syn got the relics which is badass. The place is warded from Fae. So the men and Ryder were arguing about how to do it and Syn just went to get it herself. Lol.
• Dark King went to visit Syn and discuss more Fae History shit. And drops the bomb that if Syn is the Light Princess, Caitlin, the Adam and her are betrothed. And right. They need to have a baby soon. Wtf.
• They do a meet up. Light King and Queen and the Dark King plus Ryder and Syn and the men.
• I think the beast inside Ryder is the Horde King.
• Sooo. It was Syn's turn to hunt the guy who's responsible for her parent's death. She planned it with Alden. Only giving a bit of info to Ryder. She didn't tell him all about the plan because she knew that Ryder will be against it.
• They all went to the cemetery. She raised the dead and called Billy, the boy ghost. Alden spelled it so she can talk to Billy, who apparently is named Quinn and not Billy.
• Larissa came back to help. Alden asked Ristan to get Larissa in exchange of his soul. And yep he didn't told Syn about that deal with the demon.
• Anyway, Larissa helped boosting her powers. Syn shielded the two of them from Ryder and the rest of the gang. Making Ryder furious because he need to keep the 'cloak' he has on the people so the Faes won't sift once they saw them. Syn tapped the leyline. One by one, the fae from her nightmares came to her. She killed the first one. The 3 fae next are heavily injured. Badass action scene. Even Ryder admits that lol. Even if he's so furious about it. The last one is the one who visits her at her house.. So apparently that Fae is her brother. And wanted to be the heir, anyway, Ryder dropped the shield so her 'brother'  sifted out again.
• After that Larissa and Syn talked and said goodbye. Lari told Syn it's okay to marry Adam and she's not mad or blaming her for her untimely death. She was the one at fault because she let Joseph in even though she knew it was him doing the killing.
• So Ryder went to the place where Lari told them about the mages and the relic and came back with Ryder and the other heavily injured. Holy shit. Ryder was hurt badly! Like Ristan need Syn to heal him badly. I think it's iron poisoning!
• Ristan is so worried about Ryder. Omg. I liked Ristannnn. Don't make him sad. 
• Syn sent out her magic to remove the multiple iron bullets from Ryder's body. Removed the iron poisoning and force the blood to expel the iron.
• Syn is now at Faery and met Adam's family. Something is not right. I mean I kinda knew Ryder being Adam's brother is a bit shady...
• They signed the contract... I'm still thinking that maybe it's Ryder's kid and not Adam?
• I FUCKING KNEW IT. SHE'S PREGNANT WITH RYDER'S CHILD! I AM SO CELEBRATING IT WITH THE BEAST LMAO. This was confirmed by Eliran while they are in the hand fasting ceremony for Adam and Synthia. He told Ryder that he ran the pregnancy test 8 times and it's positive every time. 
• Another fucking bomb. So we have a name. It's Faolan. The brother of Syn who wants her dead.
• Another Fae (Cailean, her guardian since she's a baby) saved her. One who said he was the one who protected and shield her from Faolan.
• Holy shit. She is not Tatiana's! But her sister's (Madisyn) and Blood King (Lasair)!
• Faolan's helping the Mages destroy Faery in exchange of them draining Syn of her powers to become the Heir acknowledged by Danu - their Goddess.
• The Blood King knew of the Brand on her neck. He was the one who put it there. It was there to prevent the Transition. BTW, her real name is Sorcha.
• Lasair, the Blood King. Tells her the story. Fuck. Does this mean I should too? Lol. Well, to cut the story short, her mother was wanted by the Horde King, Alazander. 
• Who was actually a bully. Anise, her mother's great Aunt, did not give her to the Horde King, Alazander but to Lasair and they are a love match. 
• Alazander then killed Anise because she defied him of his request to get Syn's mother.
• So when Syn was born the Horde King strike a deal. 
• He wants Syn to be his concubine, in exchange of Liam, their First born who was sent back piece by piece. He was being tortured by the Horde King
• She got a visit from Ryder in her dreams and told him where she is and what's currently happening to her. She told him about the Horde King and Ryder told her that he'll rescue her.
• The ending was that she was given to the Horde King. That's it. Lol. The Horde King btw has this wings and power so immense, she can do nothing but bow down and play docile.
